Delicious, fresh and huge portions! Vicky our server was engaging, friendly and very efficient. A place to go, and come back to.! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
That was the last time I will ever eat there. The service was bad, the employees were judgemental and rude and the atmosphere was vibey. Back porch BbQ more like back porch rip you off. The 19 dollar cheeseburger was bad. I've had better at Mc Donald's. A big thumbs down. Save your self the stomach ache and don't give your business to the snotty waitresses Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
Very good Texas Chili Queso, Potato salad out of this world, The general BBQ was okay. Decent place to go to. I would definitely give it another shot though. Staff was kind of stand offish. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
The jalapeño brisket melt was quite good and the jojos were delicious. The au jus tasted like it was Bisto and was quite salty. I ordered the ribeye rare to medium rare and it came out well done. I sent it back and it came less overdone the second time but still wasn't impressive. The potato salad and chili sides were quite good. The meatball soup was pretty good too but a bit salty. The staff was fast, friendly and polite but the building was a bit rundown and in need of repairs. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
It's not the best food, but it's ok. The steak didn't have that much flavor, but the potato salad and the beans were very tasty. The last time we went to this restaurant was 3 years ago and we were disappointed, because the waitress asked if we could leave due to a reservation that had arrived, we had barely finished to eat and was super rude This time in 2023 it was a different experience, the waitress was kind and attentive. I was at back porch for the first time on my birthday. The staff was friendly and we had good service. The food came out fairly quickly once we ordered. I had the longhorn combo with hot sausage, ribs, and brisket. The brisket was done to perfection. The ribs were tough and could have used a longer cook, and the hot sausage was nothing special just a typical hot link. Along with the main dishes the sides I had were the cowboy salad and garlic parmesan fries. The fries were delicious. The cowboy salad I didn't care for. To drink I had the back porch lemonade that was very good. When I eat BBQ I always think of cornbread to have with it but cornbread was not served at this establishment. They served sourdough bread with the BBQ dinner which to me did not seem like a very good cornbread. The best thing on the table I think that was ordered was the jalapeno brisket sandwich which I will be back to order. I will also have to try the chicken which is the only BBQ item I did not try. Our Inn Host suggested this place as we like to find where the locals go (which tends to be the best). This turned out to be true. It’s very casual dress making it physically comfy, but the food was “eye-rolling good”. I felt like “Bob” in the movie What About Bob making yum yum noises that could embarrass anyone. I would definitely go back one day on another visit.
So we moved to this area from Roseburg a couple of years ago. There's an establishment there called The Jersey Lilly that has been around since 1930 or so and it was one of my favorite places for food and friends. The Back Porch has the same vibe and I believe I have found a "favorite place". The food is honest to goodness barbecue and it warms the soul. The staff is friendly and attentive. Talia is awesome by the way. I had the "Eastwood burger", which is served open faced with chili, and my better half had the house smoked brisket French Dip. Both dishes were outstanding. I can see making this place a much needed hangout! Don't drive past without stopping. A great time is guaranteed. The staff was friendly, place was clean, food was so delicious even the soup stood out! It was slightly busy and wait time was pretty average but so worth it. The drinks were made delicious and not cheap weak. I didn't have a child with me so not sure if the have a kids menu but it was kid friendly enough. Would recommend this place for sure! The mark of a great restaurant is when the food doesn't meet their standard, but they more than make it right. Some of the meats were dry (although the Cajun Steak Bites were extraordinary)! Service was exceptional and they comped part of the bill, even after bringing out extra food. Great atmosphere too. Can't wait to try the Lime Chicken!
