One of the best outdoor cafes I have ever visited!!! Quality of the food and the subtle outdoor experience gives you some good vibes😉 Food - Quite a different taste apart from the routine Indian food. What we ordered * Butter Croissant * Cappuccino * Chicken with french fries (best seller) * Tuna sandwich Ambience - Subtle outdoor experience (as mentioned earlier) Gotta say decent crowd in the morning. Service - Mostly self service. The staffs helped us ordering the best sellers . Perfect place for breakfast. We tried their chicken sandwich , veg cheese sandwich, butter jam croissant. Taste and quality was really good. We have also taken cakes and cookies from the bakery shop. Auroville cafe doesn’t live up to its hype of being the most rated and reviewed cafe near Auroville. They have a bakery and a cafe operated separately. This cafe is not inside the Auroville city, so it is open and accessible to all the people and they accept and cash and card/UPI payments unlike the cafes inside Auroville. The food here is not the one to crave for or to vouch for, as there is not heart they put into the cooking or serving. The place was crowded with people from different places and different walks of life and that’s really a good sign but the food is what binds everything which is missing. Sandwich was so dry they just put the freezing cheese into it and it’s not edible. Wraps were extremely tasteless and felt stale. Hummus smelled & looked different from what it should have and crepes were so soggy. Kombucha tasted good 👍 We received the order after 45 minutes of ordering. Bakery has a good spread of food and seemed ok but we didn’t taste as we were skeptical after the food we saw from cafe.
