Place was busy but well worth the wait. Portion sizes on appetizers was good and our steaks were cooked perfectly. The blueberry margarita was amazing! If they still have it on the menu I would definitely recommend giving it a try. We will be back! Since the first time I’ve gone to this restaurant I’ve been impressed with the service, the prices, the freshness/great taste of the food, and how kind the staff has been. I think there should be more Aspen Creek Grills in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area instead of just one because l believe this restaurant has the ability to thrive with the large numbers of people l see at the Irving, TX location. Their portions are big, and l like that there is a wide selection of food options on the menu. The only thing l would suggest is to add more items to the dessert menu. So walking in, it reminded me of a Texas Roadhouse atmosphere. Server was really good as my kids couldn't figure out what they wanted and server was patient. My Monte Cristo was really good and the sauce was fantastic. My beautiful wife wasn't real thrilled with her fish tacos as they have a sweet sauce so be prepared it's not terribly savory. My son tore into his plain double cheeseburger and my daughter loves her boneless buffalo chicken wingers. My daughter and wife had the fried pickles as appetizer and my son and I had loaded potatoe skins. My queen 👑 had a cocktail but the rest of us had normal fountain drinks and no dessert but with tip we were at 115. Food was good but nothing that truly wowed us. Similar vibe and price point to Texas Roadhouse. Visited for dinner and had a drink at the bar before being seated. Love the wait-list feature through Yelp. Beer selection was good enough. Several interesting bourbon cocktails. Wife had the house margarita, said it was pretty sour. Ash was an outstanding server. Ribeye was cooked perfectly and it was pretty well seasoned. For the price it was a good steak. Loved the fries and coleslaw. Wife enjoyed her huge salad but thought the chicken was way overcooked. Overall a good experience and would eat here again. This was my first time here. Even though we had a large group, our waitress did a great job. The food came out quickly and everything tasted good. I had the pork chops with green beans, green chili cheese grits and sweet potato casarole. I'll definitely be coming back.
