I ordered the Bourbon Street chicken and shrimp and it was amazing and my boyfriend ordered the Top Sirloin Steak and he said it was delicious as well. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. We eat at Applebees in Elkins, Wv quite often and are usually pleased. Not tonight. It was a busy Saturday, so we knew service would be slow. We ordered and our drinks were brought out. Then they brought our food, but we had no silverware. Then we were brought forks but the knives were being washed. My husband ordered a steak and really couldn't eat without a knife. I had broccoli chicken Alfredo. It had obviously been sitting under the heat lamp for awhile and was very dry. The broccoli was discolored but I tried it anyway. It was awful. I honestly don't know what you could do to broccoli to make it taste like that. About that time the waitress came to ask if everything was ok. Umm, no. She asked if I wanted it made again. No. Did I want them to make it again without broccoli? No. It's kind of hard to make broccoli chicken Alfredo without broccoli. They took it off the bill. By the time my husband got his knife his sizzlin steak was cold. They took that off too. We paid for our drinks and went to Taco Bell. It was great! Do better Applebees!
