Found this restaurant by accident but it was actually pure luck. Great food, fantastic service, everything was cooked to perfection and timing was spot on. Normal decent prices for a tourist spot, not too expensive, not crazy cheap but well worth every euro. Squid rings were very tasty and perfectly cooked. Will eat there again. Does not look like a luxury restaurant but don't let that fool you, the food is excellent.
Close to the beach. Toilets were clean but could do with a refurbishment.

Was impressed to see so many clearly labelled vegan options in this place. We had the mezze and the tapenades with some chips. The portions were so big we couldn't manage it all! But all tasted delicious. The view from the terrace down onto golden bay is amazing and I would definitely visit again.

Another sunny day in Malta, and another cracking lunch. We took the bus to Golden bay and decided to have lunch at the Apple's Eye.
The menu looked good, outside tables were in the sun, and we were served quickly and effectively.
For food we had a salad with an extra tuna steak, and pasta with rabbit, on the bone. Both meals were very good. Portions were generous, the problem with Maltese lunches is we have rarely been able to eat a meal at night, often only wanting a snack.
Staff were very good, attentive and friendly, without being pushy.
If you find your way to Golden Bay, then this place is definitely worth a shout....

I'm afraid the cakes here have gone downhill. They used to be really nice a couple of years ago, but we had these carrot cakes and they were dry on the outside and had no taste at all. The coffee was nice and the service good though.

We ordered cake, pizza and bruschetta. The cake was terribly old, and the bruschetta was spoiled tomatoes on top of the tasty looking bread. I had to send it back and ate from my husband’s dry and weird pizza. It looked like someone tossed all the fridge leftovers on a pizza crust.
As far as I can tell, this place doesn’t care one bit about the quality of what they serve. They have the location and rely on everyone stopping there once. If you haven’t already, DON’T.

The location of the Apple’s Eye is great. You have a breathtaking view over Golden Bay!
I stopped to have a coffee and a croissant. The croissant came very hot as if it came from the oven, with lurpak butter and raspberry jam on the side. You have to be fast with the butter especially with today’s weather, otherwise it will melt just in a blink of an eye.
The tables and chairs are simple, nothing fancy or posh whatsoever. Regardless of being fully booked, the service is spot on!

It took them roughly 7 mins for my double macchiato.
The staff is friendly and polite.
If you go to Golden Bay, don’t hesitate to have a coffee before getting in the beach!
Perfect if you want to sit in the shadow - or the sun. Nice view down to the beach. Our burgers were okay and we missed a sauce and spices. The fries were great. A bit too expensive but very friendly staff..

Big portions, a good variety of tasty food, including a good range of clearly marked vegetarian and vegan options. We had the bruschetta, green explosion pasta, veggie burger and a pizza with some cocktails. Two minutes walk from Golden Bay beach with good views over the bay. Service is quick and friendly. Worth a visit.

Despite the burger being claimed as authentic angus beef, the taste did not match expectations. The burger seemed relatively basic, even lacking a simple sauce. Contrastingly, service was great and the waiters were extremely engaging and even chatted with us a couple of times.
