Edited 02/06/24: Unfortunately at this point I’ve emailed the email address commented below twice with no response. Very disappointed in what used to be one of my favorite spots in Lancaster. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT order Annie Bailey’s on DoorDash. Our food, that we paid over $50 for(not including delivery fees + tip for the driver), was not only not at all as described on the menu, but also inedible. I ordered the Farmer’s Pie, my roommate ordered the Chicken Pot Pie. The Farmer’s Pie is described (and pictured) with a ‘whipped chive potato crust’ - mine came with a croissant like topper that was clearly just placed on top? The slop underneath was gray, unseasoned, + flavorless as well as missing ingredients listed in the description (lentils, zucchini, corn). My roommate said the Chicken Pot Pie was also bland and not at all tasty. So disappointing for what is typically one of my favorite Lanc restaurants. I expect delivered food to not be quite up to par as the restaurant experience but never in my wildest dreams would I have expected it to be this bad. Visited Lancaster for the weekend and was excited to try Annie Bailey's for dinner. Our group of 3 walked in and was seated immediately. Our waitress quickly greeted us, but her demeanor immediately changed when we did not order any alcoholic drinks. Throughout the night she would ask us questions and not wait for the answer, and walk away while we were mid-sentence. However, she was very polite and accommodating to customers who had ordered alcoholic drinks. When we finally ordered our food, I ordered the Macaroni and cheese. She laughed and said "it's not good". I still ordered it and it was actually very good, but was very skeptical while eating because I couldn't stop thinking about why she mentioned that. Our appetizers and entrees were delicious, but because of the service we decided to skip dessert. She dropped the check without any comments, but finally wished us a good night when she realized we tipped 20%. Overall we were impressed with the food and atmosphere, but we’re unable to enjoy our experience due to the service. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is personable. Our server was charismatic and fun. On this particular night they were out of some of their staple appetizers and a couple dinner options. (The only reason for 4 stars) The bangers and mash were so good and it was a huge serving. The King Street Burger was perfection. The burger was seared and so flavorful. The spinach dip and Irish pub fries are amazing appetizers! Will definitely come back. Never a bad meal be it bangers and mash or shepherd's pie fish and chips always good... Must order the Bread Basket. Truly good tasting food and atmosphere is great..... That was early 2023.... Went last night 1/13/2024 new chef and let me tell you changed everything... Over salts everything changed all items very sad.... I'm really disappointed. Fish in chips oily and over salted.... Potato Soup even the manger said new pot was nothing like lunch pot potatoes no cooked all the way... Shepard pie dry and meat and potatoes. Pot pie was not done in the cast iron skillet not in a bowl and just blah... I will. Said the desert were good new pastry chef is on point.... New chef not so much and this is what all around us said too... It's changed.... Not for the good... Mwhat a change in 8 months veey sad we travel 1 hr 2 or 3 times a year and our party 9d 7 was dissapointed and you can see 8 months ago I raved about this place. The food was exceptional. Fresh and flavorful. It’s what we had hoped for. There was a fine variety to the menu. Our waiter was really kind, helpful, and friendly. Prices were great. The atmosphere is out of this world. You definitely need to check this place out. It’s worth going out of your way for it. Don’t miss it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
