At Erie Canal the view is amazing and can't wait to see it in summer. Service and atmosphere are great. And most importantly the food is delicious, with stunning presentation, and the portions are satisfying. Good Greek and vegitarian options on the menu, sat outside on the canal-facing balcony and watched boats go by with my spouse. Really enjoyable long-standing eatery, worth checking out if you like those Mediterranean flavors. Food was absolutely delicious. Service was to be desired. Long wait to be greeted. We ordered food and drink when we were finally greeted. Didn't receive the drinks (unsweet tea and a glass of wine) until half way through eating our entrees. SO good and they have a surprisingly large pasta section, if you're not feeling the more Mediterranean-leaning dishes at the moment. I also really love their tabouleh. Wow is all I could say... Take a look at the two first pictures and you will see my bewilderment. I did not know that each Aladdins was owned separately, but if so I would imagine that the quality of food would be somewhat the same! First pic is pittsford food next to Monroe's food. Same price! Almost enough said... But here's more. After questioning the portion I was told that the reason is different owners. After I asked for the honey mustard which obviously wasn't included in my "portion", I said wow and was snarked back with a wow what? Wow this is a tiny portion! Well we're not the same owners. I gave the pittsford dish to a homeless fellow and he said thanks for the leftovers, I laughed as I drove away, couldn't explain that it wasn't even leftovers. In my line of work as being a business owner I would of simply had the cooks make an extra .50 cent chicken breast and made it right, sometimes you have to succumb to your unprofessionalism and pride to make a customer happy... Even if they are wrong. (And clearly I wasn't, but hey what's .50 cents or a buck out of gross profits). If I were to have gone there first instead of the Monroe location... I'd never go to the Monroe location. Keep up the great work, happy demeanors, and smiles at the Monroe location! Also thanks for asking if I needed napkins or forks. Make a note on your menu that your unaffiliated with the other location. Will 110% be back to you On a good note, they both have the most amazing honey mustard I've ever had and I eat out every. Great view, great service, and great food! Aladdin's is such a great place to visit when you're out in this part of Rochester. With views of the Erie Canal, our lunch on the first floor was peaceful.
