The waitresses and everything was really good. They treat the animals really good that make them a good treat. I would recommend Park rapids a&w at any to anyone I was there yesterday. It was the worst service I ever had from an a&w. The cashier was snooty she didn't want to give me my rip beer with my mail deal on your special for yesterday. Went back and she said I owe her $2. If I want to rip beer I would not recommend going back in there. One of my favorite places to get a burger and cheese curds in town. Easy to get in/out of. Good parking available for all size vehicles. Service is always reliable and the workers are friendly. Love the double cheeseburger and always cold root beer too! Don't forget to try the floats, cones, and Sundae treats as well! The Park Rapids A&W is one of the nicest we have been to! It has the standard drive-in car hop service, but inside it has table service, which was very different for a fast food restaurant. They have the absolute BEST mushroom, onion burger on earth. Regional favorite, so not available at all A&W. Park Rapids has it, You can get it served car hop style, or you can go in and dine. The only thing I do not like about this restaurant, is how far I have to drive to get there. What great flavors and generous portions. I always thought McDonald's had the best fries. I stand corrected and what a nice sized hamburger patty. They also have a mushroom burger which is not something you can get most places. I didn't get a meal here but I enjoyed my nice big mug of root beer. Yes it was in a really glass mug not a paper cup. My mom also had a small diet root beer in a glass mug. The dining room area pleasant and the service great. Even free refills offered. This is a nice old-school A n W restaurant just off highway. It was a nice little stop before going to Jasper Theater.
