We were recommended here by a restaurant down the street and absolutely love this place! The atmosphere, food and service were fabulous! The mussels are decadent! Yvonne was the absolute best and filled us in on the art, chess and live music nights they offer. We came for lunch but will definitely be back the next time and every time we are in Bastrop!! Fantastic place. Cozy, great ambiance, food was amazing. Got the mussels, cheese board, hummus, and ahi tuna. All were great (just add salt to taste to hummus). Service was top notch. The new menu is amazing, especially Annie's Southwest Eggrolls. Ask about the daily special, they rotate some very tasty dishes. The bread pudding is a great way to end your meal. They also brew their own beer, which you don't want to miss out on. They make a killer old fashioned as well. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights. I highly recommend. Must stop in!! I’m a hugeeee beer connoisseur and found this brewery while in town for work and stopped in for dinner and drinks and I was not disappointed one bit. The bartender Travis was very friendly and attentive. Wealth of knowledge about beers on tap gave great recommendations. Very attentive. Also had the crab cakes and was very satisfied. The owners are amazing. I’m on a whole food plant based diet. Very restrictive, especially for central Texas. They have always been able to accommodate me with great food. One night, I went there because I couldn’t bring myself to go home to my empty house as my dog had just died. I sat at the bar looking a mess, so I explained myself. I ordered some food and a beer and they wouldn’t even take my money because of what a bad day I had. I’ll never forget that and I am glad that I can continue to enjoy 602 on happier days. Stopped in for lunch based on the menu posted outside. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and was hot and tasty. Forgot to take pictures of the pretzel. Take my word, it was good. Didn't partake of any beers at this time. Will definitely come back on future visits to Bastrop. Terrible service and food. It took forever to be waited on. The owner even asked if we had been waited on yet he didn’t introduce himself or engage in convo. The waitress never refilled our water, asked if we needed anything or offered us anither drink order. And the steak was BLAND….Absolutely no flavor. Very welcoming ambiance lured us in. It did not disappoint. Super friendly engaging staff. Great selection of beer and other beverages. Only tried the chipotle hummus to eat. Some of best hummus I’ve ever had. Fantastic to see local artists supported. We had the pleasure of witnessing an artist at work. Fresh food - had the 602 burger with great fresh toppings and the Ruben which was crispy and buttery with tender corn beef. House fries were ok, found clumps of goodness but not consistent. Service was attentive and the atmosphere was relaxing with large enough room between tables you don't feel crowded. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
