We absolutely love this place!! Friendly service, excellent mixologists, amazing food, good sized portions, and fantastic atmosphere! We've been here twice and have love absolutely everything. The Carrots are a particular favorite but everything has been perfectly cooked and delicious. Highly recommend if you're looking for a spot for a special occasion but we're planning on checking out the happy hour sometime soon as well. Absolutely phenomenal menu and food. Wine menu was outstanding. They dont ruin the bread pudding by putting raisins in it. (Humor intended) Dessert was wonderful. Will be back. Even met some really nice locals at the bar. Whole staff made us feel like VIPs even though it was our first visit. I went once and it was toward the end of the night. Steak was okay, halibut was dry and felt like a bunch of ingredients thrown together. Service was good and bone marrow was fun. Our server, Scott, was so incredible. He was informative and entertaining. He paid wonderful attention to us. The food is ALWAYS exceptional. Our trips to Missoula are simply not complete without a meal at 1889! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The food is tasty! And really presented well. Check out the garlic/honey butter while you’re there + the sides are sooo good. The bar is enjoyable to watch a game at if you want, but not too loud where you can’t enjoy the people you’re with. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Yum yum yum. This restaurant definitely hits the nail on the head for fine dining food. Their menu stands out with many artisan options and a drink list to be proud of. While my husband cooks a mean steak, I have to admit the medium 12oz strip was mouth watering. Our wine was well paired with our meal, and the mashed potatoes severed under the steak were balanced in salt and garlic without being over powering. Leftovers were plentiful, and dessert options looked good, but no room for more! The staff was kind and the atmosphere was inviting. The tables were too close together for my preference as I was 3 feet away from a stranger, sharing a bench seat. This is a five all because of our server. I believe his name was Scott??? Very personable,funny, and accommodating. Coming in we sat right away we had reservations, place is loud, bad acoustic and ambience, seating is so so, they will open the giant blinds mid meal wether you want em or not. The lady who opened them And walked around ignoring everybody must have been a manager she was about the rudest person in would have encountered. We ordered pork chop,scallops, sirloin ,and a filet ...temps were cooked great, taste was great. We waited well over an hour for our food while our server did all he could to accommodate.. in that time you think a single manager would have stopped by and checked on a table waiting so long... no they did not, very poorly managed business, set up is a money grab no real care. This place doesn't belong in Missoula and Scott does not deserve to be working here for people like that what an awesome server I hope you get another opportunity to shine somewhere else... We probably won't be back to many other options to be waiting an hour for food.. Make no mistake this 5 star is our servers 💯 if he leaves I'm changing this to a one. First time here and it was a good experience to try! We made reservations for an anniversary dinner. The staff was friendly and attentive for the most part. We both ordered cocktail drinks and one of our drinks was truly disgusting (Tiki drink) as it tasted overwhelmingly vanilla-y. The other drink was good! We ordered crab cakes as an appetizer as everyone raves about them - they were OK. They were crispy but it was two small crab cakes for $20. In my opinion, there should've been 4 small crab cakes for that price. We ordered scallops ($50), salmon ($34), and truffle fries ($8?) for our entrees. The entrees were pretty good, not amazing! Felt like things needed more seasoning. The truffle fries and aioli were definitely a highlight. I do think this place is extremely overpriced and they try to give the ~bougie~ expensive vibe, but they missed the mark. Our server forgot to give us boxes & bag for our leftovers until we started to leave. I do think there are better steakhouses in Missoula (Lolo steakhouse for sure). I will add, we did not order Steaks here because I have heard from several friends that they are okay and again, overpriced. Overall a decent date night to try this place one time and see the hype! I got the ribeye steak with bone marrow and a salad and it was pretty good. The flavor of the steak shined and it was definitely the highlight of my meal. Everything else was also good. Service was great. Atmosphere was good but no left room for improvement.. Nothing short of AMAZING!!! The drinks, the food, the ambiance and the service were all just magical. Sophie was the most amazing server/bartender EVER and our entire evening was absolutely perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+
