Cute place. First time there. Had lunch special 2 burgers, 2 sides, 2 drinks 20.00. Our server Carter was super friendly. Will definitely be back. Hamburger was with fresh Hamburger and not frozen patties. This is one of those special eating places you won't forget or regret. The people running this place are so nice. We didn't have to wait long and our server was very attentive. The food was plated beautiful and tasted so good. I ordered the "Highland Park" which is grilled chicken with swiss and house marinade. This place is gourmet with small town charm. There was plenty of room for parking. Inside, and even outside, was decked out with flare. It's definitely worth checking out. I loved everything about it. First time visiting 1836 Cafe this morning. Got a breakfast platter with chicken fried steak for dine in and ordered Togo the hamburger steak and baked potato. Everything tasted great and the service was excellent and friendly. I'll definitely be back and look forward to trying other menu items. It’s a little easy to miss on the side of the road if you’re not careful to look, but once you know it’s there, you’ll never miss it! It’s the best breakfast around the area for the best price as well. Enjoy the bar inside or dine outside on one of the Texas wood burned tables. On any platform, your meal comes picturesque and delicious. The service is absolutely 5 star and very homey! This place will definitely impress and you will not forget. I love it! Brought my mother in law and sister in laws to this place for breakfast and WOW, I understand all the fuss!! The ladies working were beyond precious and the food was OMG amazing. I will most definitely be driving back to Bells for this place! Everything homemade and incredible, we need to come back and try the burgers next. Blown away with our breakfast this morning! My boyfriend has been coming here for years and knows the owner Joe, so we stopped in during our visit to Bells and this place did not disappoint! The pancakes and waffles were out of this world amazing! I got the Country Bennie and every bit was delicious! Everyone loved the sausage patties specifically. Definitely a must stop when in Bells. Went back today and had the Mushroom Swiss Burger and Fries. Both were excellent and the homemade bun was to die for. My friend had the Highland Park Chicken and said it was super delicious! Maybe the best flapjacks I have ever had......the biscuit and gravy was worthy of any meal alone. The homemade chips are beyond belief good! My new favorite place! Try everything! Awesome little spot that is luckily open when no one else is. Came across this cafe when looking for some breakfast, on a Sunday, when just about everything is close in the area. So glad we found them, they’ve become a fave breakfast spot! While small there is plenty of seating and we’ve never had to wait.
